Only 11 weeks to go!
According to websites the baby is now just over 2 pounds (1 kilo) and a little over a foot (36.5 centimeters) long. His movements are now pretty strong and if he kicks continuously against the same spot. The baby can still move to all sides and he has enough room to do summersaults.
This week I feel like I have grown a lot! The first pair of ,maternity pants that I bought are now too small to fit! My winter coat looks like the buttons are going to pop off and let's just say a new bra is also in order.
Doctor's Appt.
I had my "28 Week" appointment on Wednesday.
I am amazing how quick these appointments are. I go in, weigh myself, pee on a strip (for protein and glucose readings), get my belly measured and listen to the babies heart beat. They ask if I have any questions and that's it. Done. I feel like it should be so much more, but they tell me that the baby is healthy and we are both growing well. Speaking of "growing" guess how much this mommy weighs? Let me remind you that before I was pregnant I was about 135 lbs. My LAST appointment (Jan. 23) I was 165 lbs... NOW I AM 177 LBS. Yep you read correctly, I have gained 12 lbs. in 5 weeks, and 42 lbs since I got pregnant!!! YIKES! I also have to go for some "Sugar Tests"?? I guess it has something to do with checking for diabetes, so I have to squeeze that appointment in sometime soon.
BABY SHOWER
ONLY 2 MORE DAYS until my BABY SHOWER!!! I have been so anxious for this day!!! I can't wait to have all of my friends good together and see what kind of great gifts we get for the baby. The more baby stuff we bring home the more reality sets in that there is a baby at the end of this road! Sunday night I'll do a post about the shower.
