This is a picture daddy took of Ethan watching him through the patio doors.

This week we had Ethan’s 5 month check up. In the last month Ethan gained 7 oz. and now weighs 16lbs. 11ozs. He also grew 1 cm. and is now 66cm tall. The doctor said he is progressing well.
Friday morning we had a little issue with Ethan not eating. He had eaten at 4:30am and was not interested in his 7:30am or his 10:30am feeding. At his doctor’s appointment I mentioned it to the doctor and he said not to be concerned unless it lasts for 24 hours. I tried regularly to feed him with not interest. I decided that I was going to introduce Oatmeal cereal later in the day, hopefully that would fill him. Ethan didn’t eat until 3:30pm. I gave him his cereal followed by a regular helping of breast milk. He ate again regularly at 6:30pm and continued back on track since. As for the oatmeal, he hates it. At least with the rice cereal he didn’t mind it and would attempt to eat it, but with the oatmeal he looks like he wants to gag! We will keep trying that. I have also been told that once we introduce fruit you can mix that with the cereal for a variety, so I can’t wait to try that.

We went to Milton to visit Kelly and Braxton. It was so cute, Ethan laughed hysterically when Braxton sneezed. I have since discovered that he laughs when anyone sneezes!

Monday morning Ethan woke up with a runny noise. Oh no, his first cold! He threw up a bit of mucus a couple times throughout the day and his poor noise got so red from me wiping it. Luckily he didn’t get a fever and he didn’t lose his appetite and I managed to give him some water too. Tuesday morning he woke up with a bit of a runny noise but nothing like the previous day.
I also set up the jolly jumper (finally). Ethan doesn’t know exactly what it is all about yet but he knows that when he jumps the pad under his feet makes noise. I can’t wait until he really gets the hang of it and goes nuts!

Today I introduced carrots to Ethan… I think he liked it better than the oatmeal… but he wasn’t head over heels in love with it. It is so exciting to introduce these new things to him.

I took sometime today and looked a bunch of pictures and videos that I had taken of Ethan. I cannot believe how much he has changed; even month to month it is truly unbelievable.
I had to include this picture, Ethan is dying to get his hands on daddy's beer.
