15 Weeks

I am a bit behind on this blog. The bigger Ethan gets the more attention he requires… and the less time mommy has to herself. We had a very exciting week. Ethan’s Aunt Nancy, Uncle Jason and cousins Tristin and Bryce (my sister, husband and kids) came for a visit.

They also witnessed another “milestone" for our little man. Sunday morning Ethan played with his first rattle. Auntie Nancy handed it to him and he grasped it and gave it a shake before bringing it right to his mouth to chew on! (Picture below)

This as become a great thing for the car, now he plays with the rattle in the car, it is one more thing to keep him content… and there is still the thumb sucking which I think has become an addition. I am surprised his thumbed isn’t as wrinkled as a prune the amount that boys sucks on it. But I love it!

After our busy couple of days with some family, Ethan and I made a trip to Barrie for the night to visit “Auntie” Melynda and Tyra. While we were in Barrie we met Skyler Swan (a childhood friend of mine’s baby – Matthew Swan). She was born 2 weeks after Ethan (Picture below).

Thursday we went to Burlington to visit one of my best friends Paula Kozbial and her 5 month old daughter Serene. We tried to get them to play… but they didn’t seem too interested! (Picture below)

We have been having lots of fun. His hair is getting so long, in the bath the other night I was rinsing his hair, when it’s wet it goes about 2-3 inches down his back, it is too cute! Daddy loves to do silly hair styles.

His eyes seem to be staying blue and they are so big and bright. He babbles a lot and smiles on command. He has a couple favour games they make him laugh out loud. The other day he showed daddy how he likes to play peek-a-boo with the pillows on the couch. He also pulls hi blankets over his face and chews on it, whatever he can put in his mouth he will, including mom and dad’s hands! One other thing daddy noticed, When Ethan sits in his green chair (in picture above with rattle) he pumps his right left to get it bouncing, when the momentum slows down, he gets his leg pumping again. What a smart cookie.

Ethan also wanted to thank Memere and Tante Nic for the lovely gifts!
