Beginning The Last Week As A 5 Month Old

This week I am trying to get a head start on my blog while Ethan is sleeping. Our poor boy wasn’t feeling good tonight and threw up 3 times while mommy was at the gym. Daddy thinks it is because he was in his jolly jumper and I had just fed him before I left. Hopefully that is the case. So far he is sleeping peacefully.



Ethan is growing by the day, I swear! It looks like we will be shopping for a new car seat very soon. Along with that growth he is out growing his beloved swing and bouncy chair (also beloved to mommy too!). Soon I wont have those lovely little contraptions to aid me while I go about my daily activities of cleaning and cooking.




Well winter is approaching FAST! I hear that back home they already have had… dare I say it… SNOW! Ugh, I cringe at the thought. But it is inevitable, it’s on the way. This morning when Ethan and I brought Rufus out for a walk there were a few flake fluttering in the air, and boy was it cold. I had our little man so bundled up. He also needs a new toque, his cutie one that Debbie got him is too small and tight for his head. I guys this is one of the many joys of parents.. oh the expenses! Ha ha ha. At least mommy gets an excuse to shop guilt free.



Nothing fits this boy anymore, the other day I had to buy him two new sleepers in a size 9 months! I couldn’t believe it!

He has also developed the cutest habit of holding or playing with his feet. Even when I feed him, he’s got is foot pulled up to his chest, it is too cute.

We are still progressing nicely with Ethan’s eating. So far he has eaten
Rice Cereal, Oatmeal Cereal, Barley Cereal, Carrots, Peas, Squash, Green Beans, Waxed Beans, and Sweet Potatoes. At the end of this week I’ll be introducing FRUITS!!! WooHoo!



This Friday Ethan will be 6 months old. I can’t believe it has already been 6 months, I am half way done my maternity leave. I am so sad to think that I will be going back to work in 6 months. I haven’t even found daycare yet and it isn’t for a lack of trying. I have called and left messages and gotten put on waiting lists, with no avail. Guess we’ll keep trying.
