Christmas 2008

Ethan’s First Christmas

Where to begin? This Christmas was a very special Christmas, it was Ethan’s first Christmas! We started out our holidays by heading for Blind River on December 20. Ethan was a good little traveler.

We stopped in Killarney to visit Memere and Phil and have a bite to eat. It brings me so much joy to see the happiness that our son brings to others; the glow on Memere’s face said it all. After a short visit we continued on our journey back home.

We got to Blind River in the late afternoon, after a short rest Ethan and I headed to Aunt Kelly’s to watch them decorate their Christmas tree, to our surprise Ethan was given a wonderful early Christmas gift, a sleigh with a cover to protect him from the weather. Monday Ethan and I spent the day with his big cousins Tristin and Bryce in Iron Bridge, when Aunt Nancy got home she gave him an early present, the cutest toy ever.

We had a great visit with Grandpa and Grandma Solomon, they were delighted to have all of us stay with them for the holidays.

Ethan even got his first taste of chocolate, by accident! He was playing with a package of M&M's (under my watchful eye), he like the sound of the package. I thought his spit might weaken the package and get paper in his mouth so I took it way, little did I know the moisture had already loosened the glue and his warm hands had melted the chocolate! Let's just say when I grabbed the package a bunch of chocolate spit seeped out!

Ethan made a new best friend, KC, Grandpa’s cat! Ethan couldn’t get enough of the cat, he loved playing with the cat and even took a liking to the cat’s toy ball! They learned to share their toys.

Christmas Eve was spent at Aunt Kelly’s, we had dinner and Ethan got more presents and played with another baby, Lily!

On Christmas Day Aunt Tania made her traditional Christmas dinner that we grew up with. Ethan got lots of cuddles from his Aunt Nancy, Auntie Tania, Papa Lessard and of course all of his big cousins.

We enjoyed our holiday in Blind River, I always wish we could stay longer but all vacations have to end at some point.

Thank you for everyone’s generosity, hospitality and of course for spoiling Ethan rotten and making this an unforgettable first Christmas for our little one.

Happy Holidays
Love
Tiffany, Jonathan and Ethan
