Wednesday was Ethan’s friend Emma’s 1st Birthday. I made Emma a cute Little Mermaid cake and we got her a really cute outfit. Ethan played with Serene a lot (they are closest in age). He also had fun with Braxton and the birthday girl herself, Emma. It was nice to capture a picture of the babies all together again. They have really changed since the last group shot was taken (when Ethan was only 2 weeks old!)

Ethan and Serene

I got a touch of food poisoning so the remainder of my week wasn’t too great. Thank goodness we have a wonderful little guy, he was so well behaved when all I could do was lay on the floor next to him. He even took extra long naps while I napped with him. By Friday I was feeling better, too bad Jonathan woke up with a cold Saturday morning! Luckily Ethan hasn’t gotten sick yet.

Monday was a typical day, we went to the gym and Ethan played in the daycare. At night we went to our friend Juan and Rachel to watch The Bachelor. Ethan had so much fun playing with Jon’s friend Juan and his kitty Mittens. Ethan was more than entertained, and mommy enjoyed the break.

This boy is climbing on EVERYTHING. He can pull himself to a standing position without hesitation!

I am amazed how fast things are moving along, I feel like he’ll be walking in the next month or so. Last night he was standing holding the table and the put his hands on my knee and moved over to me (about a foot away). He even uses his Bumbo chair as a step!

I swear we have a baby genius in our midst.

Not everyone is excited about this newest development… Rufus seems to be increasingly annoyed with the poking and pulling he receives from his biggest fan, Ethan. Daddy is spending a lot of time getting everyone acquainted.

The other day Ethan was so tired he fell asleep in his highchair! Just for the record, he was playing in it, not eating.

I had to take a picture of this terrible case of bedhead!

He had found an new interest in his excersaucer now that he can access it from the outside!

Daddy has been very helpful, especially when mommy was sick!

Jonathan even taught Ethan how to play catch! It is priceless!! Ethan passes the ball back to you instead of tossing it, it is too cute. Jon and Ethan also have this little thing going, Ethan through his arm straight up to wave at daddy when he leaves for work or when he comes home... he ONLY waves at daddy!

I had to take a picture of the way he sits, it's just too cute.

Today we had our first “Tales & Tunes” mommy and baby class. We had so much fun. Poor Ethan was sleeping when we got there, so I had to wake him up, but he was glad I did! He had such a great time. We sang song and played with props, we blew bubbles, which Ethan tried to catch, it was so cute. We even danced the Hokey Pokey! Ethan was grinning ear to ear. We even played with a parachute, all the babies sat under it and the moms moved it around, Ethan thought this was so cool, and crawled into the middle to get a better experience!
I also gave Ethan his first baby cookie (to eat by himself)! We are at the stage where I give him a piece of anything I am eating, he is great at chewing.
His “vocabulary”… or sounds, are getting greater. He now makes “a” “b” “w” “m” and once today he made a “g” noise. Soon those sounds will be words!
I am excited to announce that Ethan and I will be in Blind River Tuesday February 3 (night) until Friday February 13! I can’t wait to see everyone!
