ROAD TRIP...

Thursday night we drive from Edmonton to Penhold, Alberta and stayed at our friend Melissa's (the one with the two girls that we visited with our first day in Fort Saskatchewan). Friday morning we drove to Banff! I had never seen the mountains before, it was honestly breath taking! We spent the day site seeing and taking in as much of the landscape as possible, and as many pictures as possible. The pictures just don't do it justice at all. Ethan was such a good boy. The only damper on the day was to cold air, I ended up buying Ethan an additional jacket and a pair of jogging pants for extra warmth, it was a beautiful day, just chilly.

After a wonderful afternoon in Banff we drove to Calgary, Ethan slept the whole way! we went to East Side Mario' for dinner and spent the evening site seeing around Calgary. We saw Olympic Park, The Saddle Dome and the Calgary Tower.

Once we got back to our hotel we snaked and watched tv, Ethan thought it would be a great idea to dump the entire bag of goldfish crackers on our bed!

The next morning Ethan decided to pull all of the kleenex out of the box while mommy did her make-up!

On our way back to Edmonton we stopped in Lacombe to visit Rachel Argent and her baby girl Taylor, it is nice to know so many people from Ontario when you are so far from home!

Our last night in the city we met up with my oldest friend, Jaime-Lynne Sayers and another childhood friend, Katie Hughes, we have all known eachother since kindergarden.

We had an amazing trip, I am glad that I have this blog and so many pictures to document Ethan's first vacation. Hopefully daddy will be able to come with us on our next plane ride!

There is no place like home!
